OTG-i proprietary technology measures the tear film kinetics during the entire interblink period. 

Traditionally the performance of the tear film is assessed by measuring the break up time; however this measurement only provides information about how long the tear film is performing well, and no information regarding the tear film after this time and before the next blink.

The technique OTG-i have developed involves the digital videotaping of the tear film and a post hoc analysis of the videos to produce the parameters that describe the tear film dynamics.

The applications of the techniques can be part of any clinical studies and can be combined with the prior exposure to a controlled environment for a predetermined period in combination with other OTG-i assessment tools.
